At Bleu, we make it easy for Sudanese citizens to access banking services and send money home. We offer a full range of banking services, including account opening, and remittances for retail and business clients in addition to Banking as a service (BaaS) and Banking as a Platform (BaaP) for FinTechs, Banks and other Financial services providers.
Customer onboarding will be through digital onboarding, by adopting latest state-of-the-art suite of technologies in AML verification, liveness testing, facial recognition, real-time ID verification while ensuring AML and KYC compliance.
Banking as a Platform (BaaP)
Banking as a Platform is, essentially, the inverse of Banking as a Service, whereby the bank integrates third party services into its own system using APIs. This will allow other banks the ability to integrate Bleu services in their system using APIs. The benefits of this business model can be twofold:
- End-customers receive new, better, personalised products and services from their banks including products and services from Bleu.
- Banks improve their customer experience whilst saving money on development and support and freeing up internal resources
Banking as a Service (BaaS)
Baas is a business model that enables Fintechs and other companies to provide financial services usually associated with banks or financial institutions. Bleu will share software, license, and/or services and this is seen a convenient option for new entrants to the financial services sector. This way they can quickly enter the market without having to acquire their own license – often a lengthy process.
Account Opening
We offer both personal and business accounts, which can be opened online in minutes. Customers will need to provide some basic information and documents, which will be verified using our digital onboarding solution. Once the account is open, customers will have access to a wide range of banking services, including remittances, payments, and loans. Our account opening process is fully compliant with Sudanese regulations and our digital onboarding solution ensures that all customer information is stored securely.
Digital onboarding
Digital onboarding is verifying a customer’s identity using digital means. This can include facial recognition, liveness testing, and real-time ID verification. Using digital onboarding, we can provide our customers with a more convenient and secure experience.

Liveness testing & Facial recognition
Liveness testing ensures that a customer is who they say they are. This can be done with things like facial recognition or by asking the customer to perform specific tasks that only a live person could do. Facial recognition is a technology that allows us to verify a customer’s identity using their face. This is done by comparing the customer’s face to a database of known faces.
Real-time ID verification
Real-time ID verification is a process of verifying a customer’s identity in real time. This can be done using things like facial recognition or by asking the customer to provide certain information that only they would know.
